I was under the impression the dealership that sold us the 520d 30,000km ago had changed the air filter. They had not. I have no idea how long it has been in there.

I wonder how many hp that will be good for ;)

Is this an E39? I’ve never seen an air filter that looks like that.

I trust no one. Dealers even less. Should’ve checked yo self. Could have saved yourself tens of horsepowers and fuelage

Jesus christ man, is your air filter located directly behind the exhaust?

About that other wagon, did you already hear from the guy who was looking into the possibility of approving the DS pick-up conversion in Belgium for you?

Oh man it took me a minute to see the actual filter that was in the car, that is pretty bad.

You have too much faith in dealers. They don’t do anything that won’t add significant value to the car. If a car gets traded with bald tires, they will first look for used tires, as a last resort they will buy the cheapest korean tires they can find.

Highly unlikely, but I did find local Citroen club people with a warehouse with all the parts I need. Including the ability to replace the area above the upper rear windows which is completely rotted. Trying to arrange finances for the entire summer, so I can’t binge on the parts, yet.

On the one hand it sucks that the pickup isn’t possible, however it would indeed be very nice if you can buy parts to fix it up, so that another DS stays alive and original! Good luck with the finances!

I need to figure out how to afford to send the kids back to the USA for the summer and some other stuff, first, before pissing money away on a car ;) But it shouldn’t be too terrible.
